Captions come from Whisper, running locally in 17 languages plus auto-detect, with timing for every word. The model downloads once on first use, from about 140 MB for Fast to 1.1 GB for Accurate, and works offline after that.
Smart Trim finds long pauses on its own, and once the transcript is there it also suggests cuts for filler words, repeated words and retakes. The privacy scan reads the text on screen and suggests masks for API keys, passwords and email addresses. Auto-zoom works by rules instead: it places zooms on your clicks and typing, and you can edit every one.
