On Windows it captures through ffmpeg at your display's native resolution and 30 fps. Pick a display or a single window and record your camera and microphone with it. No plan has a time limit, Free included.
When you stop, the editor opens with zooms already placed on your clicks and typing. Trim with Smart Trim, add captions generated on your PC, annotate, mask anything private, then export MP4, ProRes MOV or GIF. Export uses hardware acceleration where your PC supports it.

Record any connected display or a single window at native resolution and 30 fps. On a multi-monitor setup, you choose which display to record.

Hardware-accelerated export
Exports use hardware encoding where your PC supports it, as MP4 (H.264 or HEVC), ProRes MOV or GIF at 24 or 30 fps, or 60 fps on paid plans.

Auto-zoom on clicks and typing
Zooms land where you click and type. Choose Subtle, Balanced or Energetic, set the depth in six steps from 1.25× to 5×, and edit any zoom on the timeline.

Whisper runs locally in 17 languages plus auto-detect, with word-level timing. Captions are burned into the exported video.

Does One Rec work on Windows 10?
Yes. One Rec runs on Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit (x64) only. There is no build for Windows on ARM.
Why does Windows warn me when I open the installer?
The Windows build isn't code-signed, so SmartScreen may show a warning the first time you run it. Choose More info, then Run anyway. Only download One Rec from the official download page.
Can I record system audio on Windows?
Yes. One Rec records whole-system audio through the Stereo Mix input, so your sound driver needs to provide Stereo Mix and it has to be enabled in Windows sound settings. Picking audio from individual apps is only available on macOS.
Can I record multiple monitors on Windows?
You can record any one of your displays, or a single window. Choose it before you press Record.
How does One Rec compare to Camtasia on Windows?
Camtasia is a general video editor with multi-track editing. One Rec is narrower: it records your screen and edits that recording with zooms, captions, trims, annotations and masks. If you need to cut many clips together, Camtasia fits better. For a single screen video, One Rec's free plan covers it.
