What you get
Recording, editing and sharing in one app.
- 01
Camera, mic and screen
Record your camera alongside your screen and microphone. Switch between picture-in-picture, split or full camera after recording.
- 02
Smart Trim for talk
Smart Trim suggests cuts for pauses, filler words, repeated words and retakes. You decide which ones to keep.
- 03
Captions with word timing
Whisper transcribes on your computer in 17 languages plus auto-detect. Captions are burned into the video; SRT and VTT files are available through the onerec CLI.
- 04
Remote guests in Live (alpha)
On Creator and above, up to 6 guests join the Live studio from a browser link. The studio can save each camera and mic as its own file while you record.
- 05
Episodes stay on your computer
Recordings are saved locally. Nothing is uploaded until you create a share link.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Can One Rec replace Riverside for podcasting?
For solo and screen-based episodes, yes. For remote interviews, guests can join One Rec's Live studio from a browser link, but the studio is in alpha and guest audio and video arrive over the call. Riverside records each guest on their own device, which holds up better on a weak connection.
Can I export audio only?
No. One Rec exports MP4 (H.264 or HEVC), ProRes MOV and GIF. If your host needs an audio file, extract the track from the MP4 with a converter such as ffmpeg.
Does One Rec host podcasts?
No. Export the episode and upload it to your podcast host or YouTube. Share links are for review, with views, watch time and a retention curve.
