Changelog

Automatic chat answers (Beta) are open to every plan

list infos such as your mic or your Discord, set a tone, and the AI answers matching questions in one sentence that always quotes your exact info

Automatic chat answers can run on a local model through Ollama or LM Studio, free and unlimited while the app is open, or with your own OpenRouter key instead of the daily cap

The editor can scan a recording on your computer for passwords, keys and personal info on screen and offer masks that hide them, with a warning at export until you review them

Smart Trim offers restarted sentences as retake cuts

Chat is an overlay element again that you place, resize and style, and it shows your live Twitch chat on the program and in OBS

A scene can mute the mic for that scene only, such as Intro or BRB, and the mic button shows it

Go live can stream to a webinar's watch link on the Webinar plan

Agent tools can render shorts to MP4 from one recording and make Twitch emotes, badges and thumbnails from the terminal

The Studio canvas is always editable

the Edit / View only switch is gone and the PiP and split handles stay on the canvas

Pressing on a layer in the Studio preview and dragging moves it right away instead of drawing a selection box

The + tile opens a menu to start from the current layout or a blank canvas, and saved layouts have their own actions menu with a rename dialog

Turning on the camera or screen with several scenes shows which scene changed, with Undo

Every enabled chat command can answer questions automatically, without an "Answer automatically when…" sentence

Buttons and toggles are rounded like fields and tiles instead of pills, and the recording HUD tiles look right again

A layer copied in one scene can be pasted into another

A vertical split fills its half of the frame, and the cursor stays on target after cropping an area recording

Web sources in the Studio can no longer open dialogs or downloads over the app

Opening a recording from someone else can no longer reach files outside its folder

The Studio cursor and click effects no longer drift toward the black bars on a 16

10 screen streamed in 16:9, on macOS, Windows and Linux

The cursor lines up with the screen in the side by side layout

Recording a Windows window whose size the system cannot report no longer writes a broken cursor track

Permission messages point to Windows Settings on Windows, and a blocked microphone on macOS offers a button to open System Settings

The text, hand and resize cursors show up in Windows and Linux recordings and in the Studio

The Studio on Windows captures the whole screen on 1440p and 4K monitors, with display scaling and on a second monitor

The Studio on Windows no longer shows its own window inside the screen it shares

Record starts a local recording right away, the Go live review has an "Also record locally" switch, and test streams never record

The chevron next to Go live opens Test stream and Destinations, and a Performance button sets the preview frame rate and opens the performance report, even while live

Output settings live only on the Stream tab, and say they are locked while recording as well as streaming

The Destinations dialog lists your Twitch channel once, with Reconnect and Disconnect on its card, and closes with Done

Claude Code, Codex and other coding agents can edit your recordings, and you keep or revert each change

Choose between Soft, Ring and Ripple click effects, with live previews of each style and of the cursor

Cmd+Shift+M toggles the microphone in the Studio

The desktop Studio streams to the Twitch channel and destinations connected to your account

The live status shows what Twitch actually receives

Desktop sign-in codes now only work in the app that asked for them

The app checks every request its windows send before acting on it

Project files, web widgets and launch options can no longer reach your data outside what they need

The Mac app no longer loads outside code injected through environment variables

Private and password-protected share links now stay private

New CRT Screen and VHS Tape effects for any layer, plus an Old Screen starting point that stacks them

Recording from the Studio uses about a third of the CPU and much less memory, going live reuses that recording's video instead of encoding it a second time, and Studio recordings are saved as MP4

Each live destination fails and reconnects on its own, so one dropped platform no longer stops the others

Cameras that are not on screen idle at a low frame rate, and the live cursor costs almost nothing to draw

Fixed the camera running ahead of or behind the microphone in recordings made after the Mac had slept

Fixed the editor sound drifting further ahead of the picture every time you paused and played again

Fixed the editor sound starting slightly late on the first play and after switching speakers

At 0.5× and 2× the editor sound now plays at the chosen speed, in sync and at its normal pitch, instead of jumping to catch up

Click a suggested cut on the timeline to cut it, keep it, or apply or discard the whole set

Recording with the camera and microphone on uses about a third of the CPU it used before, and camera files are about 2.6 times smaller

A finished export now shows its result on the export page

file name, folder and size, with Open video and Show in Finder

An export sent to the background now tells you when it finishes

When the preview cannot start, it now says why in its own panel, with Copy details and Show log file buttons to help you report the problem

Help → Show Log File in every window opens the app's log file, with emails, tokens and passwords removed

Fixed the editor preview showing only the wallpaper, with no screen or camera, in the installed app

Pressing play before the preview is ready now says so, instead of asking you to click in the player to enable audio

Auto zoom zooms where you click and type, frames nearby actions in one zoom, stays wider while the cursor moves fast, and eases in smoothly instead of snapping

Energetic, Balanced and Subtle zoom presets now clearly differ

Energetic zooms on more moments, Subtle only where you click repeatedly or type

Smart Trim keeps silent moments where you click, type or move the cursor on purpose, and no longer splits a pause on a breath or cuts a short word said alone

Smart Trim's main control is now "Cut pauses longer than", and the panel tells you when screen sound hides your pauses and to listen to the mic instead

Exports run up to 1.8× faster

a 1080p60 video with the full look renders at around 190 frames per second, and 4K60 at the speed limit of your Mac's video encoder

Liquid glass frames in exported videos now match the preview, including the thin rim around the video and the corner rounding at 4K

ProRes exports show real progress while converting instead of pausing at 85%

When an export fails, the export panel says what went wrong and what to try next

Moving the camera between picture-in-picture corners, or changing layout at all, travels smoothly again

on air as well as in the preview

Overlays, backgrounds and going live keep the layout you picked; the layout editor now opens only for Customize, Blank and saved layouts

Picking a layout keeps the picture-in-picture size and split position you had set, instead of resetting them

The layout picker, the preview handles and the program now always agree on the current layout

Cursor effects keep working on recordings where macOS never provided a picture for a shape

genuine artwork for all 17 macOS cursors now ships with the app and is used in Record, Studio, the editor and exports

Capture arrows draw as one tapered shape whose head grows with the arrow, instead of a thin line meeting a fixed-size triangle

One Rec now follows your system Reduce Motion setting

The Studio layout picker offers "Edit current layout" when a custom layout is active, and scrolls to stay on screen with a large library or a small window

Set preview to 15, 24, 30 or 60 FPS, or turn it off, even while recording or streaming

Copy a local performance report from Studio settings to help diagnose problems

Limit retained video frames and waveform data when editing long recordings

Process video and audio exports incrementally to avoid keeping entire recordings in memory

Keep cursor movement and click timing consistent across preview frame rates

Customize a preset or start from a blank layout, then save, duplicate and reuse your arrangement

Move and resize your camera, shared screen and graphics together, with space for a public agenda or other text

Prepare composition changes while streaming or recording, then apply them when you are ready

Arrange frame contents horizontally or vertically and enable loop scrolling, with a Sponsor strip template for three replaceable logos

Write notes and use the teleprompter in web Studio, just like on desktop

Align stream controls, scene lists, chat and tool tabs across desktop and web

Show the same subscription badge and upgrade controls in both studios

Keep native recording, audio mixing, Multi-Cam and cursor settings available alongside the shared controls

Share system audio independently, without showing your screen

Place scene layouts above compact camera, microphone and sharing controls

Monitor audio levels below the scene list

Use a consistent Studio layout across desktop and web, with resizable panels and editing controls above the preview

Fix a crash that prevented the installed app from opening

Restore the interface when launching the packaged app

Add, duplicate, reorder, disable or reset individual effects, with undo and redo

Grade color with curves, color wheels, an HSL mixer and imported 3D LUTs

Add diffusion, bloom, halation, glow, shadows, glass, grain and animated distortion

Keep camera calibration and a base look shared between Studio and Record, with separate effects for each scene placement
