Feature · Keyboard Shortcut Overlay
Show the shortcuts you press.
A keyboard shortcut overlay for your recordings. One Rec logs the Cmd and Ctrl combinations you use and shows them as an overlay you can edit afterwards.

What you get
What it does for you.
- 01
Shortcuts only
The overlay shows combinations with Cmd or Ctrl, like ⌘C or ⌘⇧P. Plain typing stays off screen.
- 02
Editable after recording
Turn the overlay on or off, move it to one of five positions, scale it from 0.5x to 2x and set how long each shortcut stays up.
- 03
Key sounds
Add an optional keyboard click under each shortcut, with its own volume.
How it works
From take to finished video.
- 01
Record as usual
One Rec logs the shortcuts you press while you record, next to the video.
- 02
Turn on the overlay
In the editor, switch on the keyboard overlay and pick a position, size and display time.
- 03
Export
The overlay renders into the export. Change it or turn it off any time before then.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
Does the overlay show every key?
No. It shows combinations with Cmd or Ctrl. Single keys and plain typing don't appear.
Will passwords show up in the overlay?
Plain typing isn't shown, so a password you type doesn't appear in the overlay. For passwords or keys visible on screen, the privacy scan can suggest a mask.
